Security Screens

A security screen installs to an existing window. A security screen looks similar to an insect screen but in addition to providing insect protection it provides security and protection against burglary and theft. We provide protection to public housing developments, public schools, colleges and universities, medical facilities and much more. Our security screens have also been installed over the glass windows of homes built on golf courses to eliminate glass breakage from straying golf balls.

Colors

Our extruded aluminum frames are available in a standard MILL (silver) color finish but are also available in WHITE or BRONZE for an additional charge. The stainless steel wire mesh is

available in .023 gauge or .028 gauge and come in the standard MILL (silver) or in BLACK for an additional charge.

Hinged Style Security Screens

Security Screens are available with a piano hinge and latching system. This allows the security screen to be opened for access or ease of window cleaning. 

 We offer two different types of screens that use this piano hinge. 

• Top Hinge 
• Center Hinge 

On a CENTER HINGE SCREEN, one side of the screen is fixed or inoperable, making it unable to move. The other side of the screen is placed on a piano hinge making it operable and able to open and close. This operable side of the screen also comes with a latching system allowing it to lock into an open position when need be making it ideal for projects where window unit air conditioning must be adjusted for. 

On a TOP HINGE SCREEN, a piano hinge is attached directly to the top of the security screen frame. On the opposite side of this screen are two stainless steel spring loaded barrel bolts attached to the window as a locking device. The latch can be made to catch onto your existing primary window. A section of angle aluminum may be attached to your primary window to act as a catch for the spring loaded latching bolts. 

Fixed Panel Security Screens

Our fixed panel security screens are used where you will not be opening your primary window. This style is great for picture windows and store front windows on businesses. This is also ideal for use on screen doors to add security.

Our screens can be either top hinged, or center hinged to accommodate window air conditioners. We also build a fixed panel security screen that has a continuous lip or fin around the perimeter for ease of attachment. 

All extrusions are made from 6063 T5 aluminum. Standard color is Mill (silver) but are also available in White or Bronze for an additional charge. 

Stainless steel wire is standard in all screens. It is available in either .023 or .028 gauge and is all 12 X 12 stainless steel mesh and cut to specifications. The wire can also be painted black for an additional fee. 

Standard warranty is one (1) year in workmanship and materials from the date of purchase. 

OUR SCREENS MEET THE STANDARDS SET BY SMA-6001-185, REQUIRED BY HUD 

This is the inside view of our security screen. Here we see the spring loaded latch and protective guard to prevent intrusion from the outside of the window. Simply pull on the latch and push out on the screen for ease of opening.
